At Reme Beauty, equality and inclusivity are at our core. We're here to set a positive example and shake up industry norms. Inclusivity is a priority in everything we do, and we make sure to support minority groups at every step of our process. This Pride Month 2024, as allies we're celebrating and standing with the LGBTQ+ community, reaffirming our commitment to diversity and making sure everyone feels seen and valued.
This month, we attended one of many drag shows in Singapore called Baby Queens & Kings our Founder, Yen's first drag show in Singapore since moving here. Baby Queen's a Singapore’s first-ever drag feature film. A documentary portrait of a young drag queen’s everyday life, featuring Opera Tang as the lead, and a testament to the social attitudes towards queerness in contemporary Singapore. To spice things up, the film featured live shows showcasing stunning OG and baby queens performances throughout the month of June.
The queens poured their hearts into their outfits and spent months perfecting their craft. Their dedication and passion shine through, showing their spirit and determination to break free from societal norms.
We had the opportunity to speak with Buttercub, a baby queen, after her first show EVER and introduced her to our Re-base Makeup Cleansing Balm a crowd favourite amongst our Queens.
