Great question! Pronounced (REE-MEE) was created by our founder, Yen. It's a blend of two words:

While our products aren’t medicated or formulated to treat eczema or topical steroid withdrawal, they are designed to be incredibly gentle, barrier-supportive, and non-irritating—making them suitable for skin that’s in a fragile or healing state.

Our formulations are made without harsh additives, fragrance (unless stated), or common irritants, and instead focus on hydration, barrier repair, and microbiome balance—key pillars in supporting sensitive and compromised skin. The Re-base Cleansing Balm is formulated to be non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog your pores. It’s made with lightweight, non-pore-blocking oils that gently melt away makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum—without irritating acne-prone skin.

Unlike many oil cleansers that can leave behind a greasy film, Re-base is designed to rinse off cleanly with just water. After about a minute of massaging, it washes off completely—no oily residue, no slippery after-feel. Just clean, calm, comfortable skin.

In fact, using a balm like this can actually help balance oily skin by dissolving buildup without stripping your barrier (which can trigger more oil production).

Our wash-off products use only natural colours and scents.

Because we work with ingredients derived from nature, you might notice slight variations in colour or scent from batch to batch.

No need to worry—these natural differences don’t affect the product’s effectiveness or safety.

Yes, this is expected for the current batch as part of our Clearance Sale. These items were marked down to help us minimise waste and make space for new stock.

Despite the shorter shelf life, all products are safe to use, stable, and have been quality-checked. With consistent use, each product lasts around 3–4 months, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the full benefits.

All Reme packaging is crafted from recycled paper and printed with soy-based ink, making it 100% recyclable - depending on your local recycling regulations.

We encourage you to check with your local council to ensure they accept the plastic materials used in our packaging.

Our minimal brown mailer boxes are also made from recycled paper, and we seal them using water-activated paper tape- no plastic, making recycling even easier.
